Life in 2003
A day in 2003 at Concordia College was not too much different from what it is like today in 2012. Students had a typical day of waking up early for class followed by going to work, sports practice, or studying in the library. Outside of the classroom Cobbers may take part in various different activities on campus. Here they may meet life long friends or even their significant other.
Among everything going on in a day of a Cobber, one important thing to find time for is eating. A cobber may have found food to eat in their dorm room, eaten in the dining center, or they may have gone out to eat. In 2000, Knutson Dining Center launched a meal plan called ‘Mission Nutrition’ that would assist students in selecting healthier food choices.[1] This program wasn't as popular back then as it is now due to the increase of nutrition awareness and new display. The food choices haven't seemed to have changed much in past 9 years.
Studying back in 2003 meant going to the library, finding a quiet place on campus, or driving to a coffee shop. The library was a very popular place for groups to meet and work on projects and study together. It is still true today that the higher you go in the library and the more stairs you climb, the more serious you are about getting things done.
The following shows some of the popular things in the year of 2003 that a student may have participated in or enjoyed doing.
